TIME OUT FOR GIRLS!!!!:):)
One of the BEST 9 hours of my LIFE!:)
Time out for girls was AMAZING!:) I had so much fun. Emma came with me. I was asked to be a volunteer. Best decision yet!:) haha. Since i was a part of staff, i got to reserve two seats so we sat in the second row, one the first day(friday). It was sweet! The presenters for first day were Brad Wilcox, John Bytheway, Mercy River, Sandra Turley. Brad Wilcox helped us memorize The first Presidency and the quorum of the 12 Apostles . If you don't believe me that right now that Emma and i have it memorized then you can test us when ever.
John Bytheway talked about the Spiritual alarm clock and some really cool alarm clocks to sch as....

you have to point the laser just right to turn it off.

you have to solve it to have it turn off

you have to pull the right wire otherwise it will "blow up"

it yells nice things at you 'til your a wake

this one is my favorite its called the clocky when you hit snooze it will go and find a hiding spot and so the next time it goes off you have to get up and go find it, it finds a new hiding spot each time too.:)
Sandra Turley told us about being on Broadway and being
Cosette in Les Miserable!
so cool,right?:)
When the first session was over so Friday, it was like 10 and we got Brad Wilcox's signature and and mercy rivers too.
And then we went to Village in at 10:30ish and ate.
Haha
Part two!:)
I loved this day.:) my favorite!:)
On Saturday we had to get up at....(pause for dramatic affect)
5:00 A.m!
If i didn't set an alarm on my iPod the night before then we would of gotten up at six thinking it was 5. so im pretty happy i set my own alarm.
We went and got Emma at 6:30-6:35 ish
it was so cool though to see stars.
I wasn't too tired.
I had to be at the Salt Palace at 7:30.
When we go there I was super excited!:)
after about 10 minutes of being there I went in to the giant room to reserve Emma and my seat.
We sat in the FRONT ROW! how awesome is that?
It was isn't exactly in the center just a little off to the side there was a isle to between Emma and i and the amazing presenters, so cool!:)
I loved what all the presenters said.
On saturday the whole thing was about 6-6 1/2 hours long but it went by way to fast.
The presenters for saturday were....
John Hilton the third, one of the things the he said was ," To expect the respect."
Laurel Christensen
Carmen Rasmusen Herbert, her experience on American Idol and Fear factor and how she stayed true to the church and followed the standards .
Then Laurel Christensen talked.
About how we will never stand alone, and that we should say the Young Women's Theme with more meaning and not rush through it so we can be done, we need to think about how we are saying it, what it really means. I though that was pretty cool.
Then So did John Hilton the third . He gave us a dare, " A dare not to Compare!" So the dare for us was to not compare with others for a full 48 hours.
It was actually a little hard at first but, soon it was really fun and so easy.
After that Carmen Rasmusen Herbert talked,
"You can be beautiful with out make-up. You are a beautiful daughter of God.:)"
Then sometime around 11 or 12 it was time for a lunch break.
So we were going to eat at the Salt Palace but, we didn't
so we walked around for a long time! But, finally we found somewhere were my moms friend and her girls wanted to eat.
We walked to city creek too.
We went to and got soup it was pretty good.
When we got back to the Salt Palace we finished eating, then we separated so my mom and her friend went to Time out for women room and Emma and I went and found our seats and right when we walked in they started up again, talk about great timing.:)
They did questions and answers, ( on the program they have a part were you fill it out with a personal or just really question you have and they'll try to answer a lot. They also do a drawing for stuff.)
So they did all that. Then all presenter talked so more.
There was a lot more singing from Sandra Turley and Carmen Rasmusen Herbert.
Laurel Christensen said,
" You are a daughter of Heavenly Father,
He know your name and he cares and loves you,
He has a plan for your life."
Then Sandra Turley talked about when she had a job in Disney World as The Little Mermaid, she had to sing," Part of your world" five times a day.
Also how she auditioned to be in " Grease" as Sandra D. she go the part, but she told the director that she didn't want to smoke at the end or do anything that didn't follow her standards. So the director said okay.
At the first rehearsal the director said okay at the end you come out smoking this fake cigarette , but when you blow out the air its smoke so its pretty much still a cigarette. She told the director in private that its not going to work for her. So she got fired. She told us to stand up for what we believe in and to not do something that we know isn't right.
Brad Wilcox talked again, he told us about a fish.
And about a traffic light.
When its green you go
When its red you stop.
When its yellow, you speed up to go through.
Same with us, if we know we have a green light in making a choice we go.
When we have a red light in making a choice we stop.
When we have a yellow light Heavenly Father knows well make the right choice and he trust us.
When we get a yellow light go through with cation, move forward and trust.
Until you feel wrong at a yellow light go on. keep going. Learn grow develop.
Move forward take it as a green.
After Brad Wilcox talked Carmen and Sandra sang "For Good", off of the musical on Broadway "Wicked":)
After it was over we found my mom and got pictures!:)
